Well – we’re thrilled. The American Association of Political Consultants’ Pollie Awards celebrate powerful political communications and are hailed as the “Oscars of Political Advertising.”

Our 4 great clients take home 4 Pollie Awards:

  • Gold in International Public Affairs Radio for “Every call” – HEU living wage campaign
  • Silver in International Candidate Direct Mail for “Genuine” – Darrell Dexter/NSNDP
  • Silver in International Public Affairs TV for “A whole lot more” – SGEU anti-privatization

The Government of Manitoba’s ad for diabetes prevention is an Ad Spot Award 2009 winner. We’re hoping they need the whole team in Florence to pick it the trophy. Congrats to a bold client and the MidCanada production team!

NOW wins five Summit Creative Awards

NOW Communications picked up five new awards this year in the Summit international creative competition.

Our campaign for the Saskatchewan Government Employees Union led the way with three awards, including a Silver Award for Best Television ad under $5,000.  The “Privatization Experiments”

TV spot also won Bronze in the Public Service TV category.

A second TV ad for the SGEU, “Innocent”, highlighting the work of Liquor Store employees, also brought home a Bronze award in the Public Service category.

Our radio spot for the Manitoba Government Employees’ Union “Sounds of Summer” drew attention to the importance of safe driving while highway maintenance crews are at work.  Jointly-sponsored by Manitoba broadcasters, the spot won Silver in the Public Service radio competition.

And our fall school board election brochure for the BC Teachers’ Federation won Bronze in the Political Collateral category.

The Summit International Awards (SIA) organization is dedicated to furthering excellence in the communications industry.  Throughout its fifteen-year history, the SIA has established itself as one of the premier arbiters of creative and communication excellence. Companies and individuals from more than 50 countries and five continents participate in the awards programs.

Summit Creative Awards recognize creative excellence in companies and individuals with billing under $30 million.

Electoral campaigns win big at Summit Awards 2008

More news on the awards front!  NOW and our clients have recently won six Summit Creative Awards. The Summit Awards recognize the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized advertising agencies.  They’re based in the U.S. and draw entries from more than 50 countries.  We’re very delighted and honoured to have our work recognized.

Public water treatment and electoral campaigns recognized with Pollie Awards

Good news, people!  NOW has just won 7 Pollie Awards at the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) convention held in Santa Monica, California.

The Pollies recognize the best in public affairs and political advertising.  NOW’s awards came both in international categories and in direct competition with U.S. agencies.
