The BC Teachers’ Federation is the leading voice for public education in British Columbia. And it’s built a reputation for thoughtful and effective public campaigns on the issues that matter most to parents, students, and teachers.

Helping kids find their way is what teachers do. But today, BC’s schools are facing significant challenges. Students have complex needs. Many require additiona supports – from special educational supports to mental health needs. And a shortage of teachers makes it harder to deliver those supports to our kids.

To raise awareness of these challenges, BCTF has run a series of campaigns that have successfully increased public awareness of the teacher shortage. And now BCTF is building on that message with a call to support better learning conditions – and better working conditions – in BC schools.

It all starts with hiring more teachers – so they can help more kids.

Our latest ad, Hire More Teachers, was named Best Canadian TV Ad at the Reed Awards. We’re proud to help BCTF raise public awareness of the challenges in public schools – and highlight the solutions that can make schools better for everyone.
